I added a new addition to my subscription addiction (see what I did there? HA). However, this one caters to my spoiled fur-baby, Cooper. After I realized how awesome Birchbox was, I wanted my doggy to experience the same joy that my box of goodies brings to me. If any of you have a large dog like myself, you can agree that toys don’t tend to stay intact for more than a few hours after they get their paws on them. You turn your back for one second, and suddenly piles of stuffing have accumulated across the living room. Severed limbs of stuffed animals are scattered and the plastic eyeballs or nose buttons have mysteriously disappeared. Well, that may have been a tad dramatic, but you get the idea. But then you realize, you just spent $10 on a toy that has ultimately become a slobbery piece of fabric. Then, I discovered BarkBox!
BarkBox is a cheaper alternative to buying dog toys and treats that seem to cost a fortune these days. I also feel good knowing that 10% of the proceeds are donated to animal charities and organizations. There are a few subscription options available to choose from. First, you select your dog’s size which helps determine the toys and goodies that are sent to your door each month. Then, you select the monthly plan of your choice:
-1 BarkBox: $29
-3 BarkBoxes: $24/box
-6 BarkBoxes: $21/box
-12 BarkBoxes: $19/box
The shipping is always free.
I will post on Cooper’s behalf after every box he receives each month. His tail is already wagging for his next “Box of Chocolates”.
